Olori Afolabi Hails Hon. Olanrewaju for Enviable Empowerment Scheme in Apomu

Olori Janet Afolabi, wife of the Alapomu of Apomu, headquarters of Isokan Local Government Area of Osun state, Oba Kayode Adenekan Afolabi has hailed the Majority Leader, Osun state House of Assembly, Hon. Moruf Olanrewaju, popularly known as Larry J, for his philanthropy and delivery of democracy dividends to his constituents.

She was particular about the recent empowerment programme organised by Olanrewaju, who represents Isokan/Irewole constituency the politician, where he had given out commercial accessories to people of the area, describing it as “an exceptional act of kindness that I wasn’t expecting.”

“Last week, Kabiyesi told me that Larry J said l should send names of two women, who will benefit from his empowerment program, where hair dryers, sewing machines, grinding machines, among others, will be given out.

“From my ever-ready list of women, who need support, l knew exactly the names to send. First, was Mrs. Adeola Alaba, hairdresser and owner of the saloon, where girls from my Youth Development Academy learn hairdressing, free of charge.

“Second, Mrs. Rashida Musefiu, an indigent mother of three out of school children, who has been longing to own a grinding machine.

“And on February 2, l told the two women to go to ADC Grammar school, where the empowerment took place, and tell the organisers they were from me.


“Few hours later, Rashida called me and spoke with great joy, saying won ti fun mi ooo (they have given me). She was given a grinding machine that she has always wished for, whil Alaba got a hairdryer”, she stated.

Expressing appreciation to the lawmaker, Olori Janet said, “thank you Hon. Olanrewaju. The women and l are grateful”, while also thanking Oba Afolabi, for his unwavering support for her passion and purpose.
