Tinubu Returns to Nigeria

Presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, has returned to the country, after a 12-day trip to the United Kingdom.

Special Assistant to President Muhammadu Buhari on New Media, Bashir Ahmad, disclosed this in a tweet at 6:29 pm today.

“Our presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu has returned to Abuja from London,” he said.

The was apprehension about his whereabouts, following concerns raided by some Nigerians over his health.

However, this evening, a video that has gone viral, showed his admirers welcoming him back, after his plane touched down at the Abuja international airport at about 6 pm.

The Director-General of the APC Presidential Campaign Council (PCC), Simon Lalong, and a former National Chairman of the party, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, were among those at the airport, where his supporters and party members shouted “Jagaban” and “Asiwaju”.

Party officials had denied that he was admitted to a UK hospital.

They also said his absence was not the reason for the delay in the kick-off of the party’s campaigns for the 2023 polls.
